OLLY OLLY

Olly is a material based sculptor and installation artist who has both hands in many pots, alchemizing and stirring—allowing slow time to seep into everything they do. They shape-shift and morph mediums—blending collage into clay, creating fires of wax puddles on used placemats, finding power in charged objects from their own childhood and other’s to serve as props, plinths, conduits.

Olly’s installations create physical ephemeral spaces that transport viewers inward, toward nostalgia. Memories forgotten/resurfaced cradle anyone who bears witness.

They are a fat trans powerhouse who worships play, slowing down, holes, borrow pits, slip, slop, making a mess, and deep excavation of all our parts as a way to heal and transform in this binary bleakness.
